Our group is made up of a number of people who have either directly or by association been affected by this terrible disease. The aims of the foundation are to raise awareness throughout the community and to help where we hear there is a need to do so.

We are called the Violet Foundation because the purple colour of the violet flower is similar to the colour of the rash that appears on many people that have contracted meningococcal. Hence the ‘Violet’ Foundation.

It would be nice to think that there would never be anyone else affected but unfortunately there will be and we hope to be able to help.

If when reading our site you feel the desire to help as we have you can either join our group or donations would be most welcome and put to good use. We are endorsed as a deductible gift recipient, which means all donations over $2.00 are tax deductible.

The initiatives of the foundation will be continually posted on the web site so that you can see what is being done as we do so. If we can be of assistance to you please use the contacts available.
